Environment/lithology: lacustrine; red sandstone and claystone

• "laminated clay bed 4-6.1 m below sea level (6.1-8.5 m below surface level). The main fossiliferous matrix was the reddish-organge [sic] sand interspersed between layers of clay. The clay layers contained only a few fish scales, possibly from the contact with the main fossil-bearing strata."
