• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Caloosahatchee Fm, which is in this section overlain by the Fort Thompson Fm (Late Pleistocene). AGE: Assigned to Early Pleistocene (A. Hendy, 2007). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From Unit 1, a 30 ft thick sandy marl.

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified, fine-grained, medium, shelly/skeletal, gray, sandy marl

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine, siliciclastic.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Marl, sandy, calcareous, quartz grains fine to medium and subangular to rounded, gray; fossils well preserved and abundant. LITHIFICATION: Unlithified, based on facies description.
