Where: Western Cape, South Africa (31.9° S, 23.9° E)
• Paleocoordinates: 50.2° S, 15.7° W (Wright 2013)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark

When: Daptocephalus other zone, Teekloof Formation (Beaufort Group), Changhsingian (254.1 - 251.9 Ma)
• It is said that the fossils come from the "Daptocephalus zone" (Gow, 1972) which is equivalent to the Dicynodon Assemblage Zone. Geographic and stratigraphic data suggest that the locality is in the Teekloof Formation of the Beaufort Group (see Catuneanu et al., 2005, J. Afr. Earth Sci., 43, figs. 24, 25). The Dicynodon AZ is Early and Middle Changhsingian according to Catuneanu et al. (2005).
