Environment/lithology: marine; lithified limestone
Collection methods: Much of the collection consists of sclerites and preserved steinkerns of spines which underwent diagenic phosphatization of original calcareous walls. There is comparable material from the Dananguo Section, Liangshan, 3km from the Oriental Instrument Plant factory and 10 km north-west of Hanzhong. Samples were collected during a Royal Society Academia Sinica Exchange Scheme in 1986.
