• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Lower Chalk, which overlies the Upper Greensand (Late Albian). AGE: Late Cenomanian, on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy; Turrilites acutus zone. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From 1 m thick exposure of chalk overlying Upper Greensand.
