• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Navesink, which at this section unconformably overlies the Mount Laurel Sand (Campanian), and is regionally overlain by the Red Bank Sand (Maastrichtian). AGE: Early Maastrichtian on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unknown position within formation.

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine siliciclastic setting.
