• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Carmichael Sandstone, which overlies the Stokes Siltstone (Llanvirn). AGE: Caradocian or early Eastonian, on the basis of conodont biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Basal member of the Carmichael Sandstone, about 20 m above the base of the formation.
