Where: Czech Republic (50.0° N, 15.6° E: paleocoordinates 39.4° N, 14.7° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Korycany Member (Peruc-Korycany Formation), Late/Upper Cenomanian (99.6 - 93.5 Ma)
• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Korycany Mbr of the Peruc-Korycany Fm, which overlies an Early Palaeozoic diabase, and is overlain by the Bilá Fm. AGE: Late Cenomanian, presumably on the basis of foraminiferal and macrofossils biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From a deep depression, named the Giant Channel, situated in the eastern part of the quarry. Collection is from the basal unit of the channel, Unit 1 (lower conglomerate).
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, pebbly, sandy, calcareous conglomerate
Size class: macrofossils
Preservation: original calcite, replaced with silica
