• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Profilbekken Mbr within the Valhallfonna Formation. AGE: Early Darriwilian (Dal-2) on the basis of well dated radiolarian assemblages from Cow Head and Table Head Groups of western Newfoundland; correlated to latest Arenigian-early Llanvirn. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: 185 m above the base of the Valhallfonna Formation.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, glauconitic, shelly/skeletal, brown, calcareous, cherty/siliceous limestone
