• Pachypleurosaur found by a geological mapping team from CCCGS led by Q. Y. Zhang on December 18th, 2007; "This new specimen, currently catalogued as LPV 30986 by Chengdu Center of China Geological Survey (CCCGS), was collected from the Layer 67 of Dawazi Section in Member 2 of Guanling Formation (Zhang et al., 2009) at the aforementioned new locality on 19 June 2008."
