Where: Fès-Meknes, Morocco (33.2° N, 5.1° W: paleocoordinates 28.4° N, 2.8° W)

When: El Mers III Formation (El Mers Group), Late/Upper Bathonian to Late/Upper Bathonian (167.7 - 163.5 Ma)

• might be slightly higher stratigraphically than orig. assignment to El Mers II Fm.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; gypsiferous mixed carbonate-siliciclastic sediments and green siltstone

• "a green siltstone with orange mottles and abundant charcoal fragments immediately below this palaeosol"

Size class: macrofossils

• surface bones, Sauropoda indet.

Collected by M. Charroud in 1987, 2019–2020; reposited in the BMNH

• Some specimens "acquired by the Natural History Museum, London, from Moussa Direct, Cambridge, UK," a commercial fossil dealer.
