Also known as Korovnikov and Ushatinskaya 1994
Where: Tuva, Russian Federation (51.7° N, 94.4° E: paleocoordinates 5.5° S, 6.7° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Poliellina - Laticephalus trilobite zone, Lower Member (Salany Gol Formation), Botomian (516.0 - 512.9 Ma)
• Was upper half of Lower Bayan-Gol (subformation). However, Smith et al. (2016) find that whole formation to be Nemakit-Daldynian. Given the trilobite zone, this should be Upper Salany Gol given Gubanov (2002: Tectonophysics 352: 153– 168.)
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: lithified carbonate
Size class: macrofossils
Preservation: original phosphate
