Type specimen: MACN-Pi 4714, a shell. Its type locality is Salina del Gualicho [Gran Bajo del Gualicho Fm], which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone/sandstone in the Gran Bajo del Gualicho Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: slow-moving semi-infaunal detritivore
