Sister taxa: Hemiacodon casamissus, Hemiacodon gracilis, Hemiacodon pygmaeus
Type specimen: UCM 67874, a mandible (right dentary fragment with P3-M2). Its type locality is Donna's Locality, which is in an Uintan terrestrial claystone in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: arboreal insectivore
Distribution: found only at Donna's Locality
