Sister taxa: Proprigalea languidula, Proprigalea medirugosa
Type specimen: GSC 105280, a dermal scale. Its type locality is Aylard Creek East, Laird formation, ACE-2, which is in a Ladinian marine horizon in the Laird Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of Canada (7: British Columbia collections)
Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
