Type specimen: USNM 111957, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 119b, Cub Creek, 1.5 miles southeast of Morristown, which is in a Dresbachian marine shale in the Nolichucky Formation of Tennessee.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore

Distribution: found only at Locality 119b, Cub Creek, 1.5 miles southeast of Morristown
