Sister taxon: Adiastaltus procerus
Type specimen: MACN A-7772, a limb element (almost complete left humerus with the deltoid tuberosity broken). Its type locality is Puesto Estancia La Costa, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
