Type specimen: MNHN.F. PPI261, a partial skull (partial cranium preserving most of the braincase, the bases of both supraorbital processes, both periotics and tympanic bullae, both mallei and stapes, and the ). Its type locality is Santa Rosa, which is in a Serravallian/Tortonian marine horizon in the Pisco Formation of Peru.

Distribution: found only at Santa Rosa
