Type specimen: IVPP V 25335, a partial skull (an incomplete skull (preserved basal length: 105 mm, preserved maximum width: 83 mm), missing the anterior end of the snout, most of the zygomatic arch, right p). Its type locality is Locality 18P5, which is in a Lopingian terrestrial horizon in the Sunjiagou Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Locality 18P5
