Type specimen: AMNH FF 20509, a partial skeleton (Partial cranium, jaws, gill arches, partial pectoral girdle and fins, and lower teeth). Its type locality is Cove Creek (= ARC-08, coll. R.H. Mapes), which is in a Chesterian marine claystone/limestone in the Fayetteville Formation of Arkansas.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cove Creek (= ARC-08, coll. R.H. Mapes)
