Type specimens:
- Jimusaria sinkianensis: IVPP RV 341407, a skull. Its type locality is Northern foot of Tienshan, Ürümqi, which is in a Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Guodikeng Formation of China.
- Dicynodon taoshuyuanensis: IVPP V.3240, a skull. Its type locality is Taoshuyuanzi, which is in a Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Guodikeng Formation of China.
