Type specimen: BSPG AS XXV 60–68, 72, 73a, 74-91, 92-100, 105-119, 121, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Sanga 6 (excavation 15), Santa Maria, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial claystone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.
