Type specimen: IVPP V11023, a mandible (right mandibular fragment preserving M2-3). Its type locality is Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D, which is in an Eocene fissure fill limestone in China.
Ecology: arboreal herbivore
Distribution: found only at Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D
