Sister taxa: Woosteroceras cherokeense, Woosteroceras flexiseptatum, Woosteroceras percurvatum, Woosteroceras spirale, Woosteroceras trempealeauense

Type specimen: Univ. Mo. syntypes 12730, a shell (seven silicified internal molds of phragmacones). Its type locality is Unklesbay and Young Locality 1, which is in a Gasconadian offshore limestone in Virginia.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Unklesbay and Young Locality 1
