Sister taxa: Pachendoceras confertum, Pachendoceras parvum
Type specimen: Univ. Mo. 12734, a partial shell (portion of a phragmocone). Its type locality is Unklesbay and Young Locality 1, which is in a Gasconadian offshore limestone in Virginia.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Unklesbay and Young Locality 1
