Type specimen: USNM 116426a, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Loc. 3. south side of road, 0.2 mile east of Strasburg Junction, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (2: Virginia collections)
