Type specimen: Univ. Calif. Mus. Paleo. No. 58184, a limb element (distal half of a left humerus). Its type locality is Sharktooth Hill (Mitchell Collection), which is in a Langhian estuary/bay sandstone in the Temblor Formation of California.
