Sister taxon: Primotrogon pumilio
Type specimen: BSP 1997 I 38, a partial skeleton (slightly disintegrated incomplete skeleton with feather impressions). Its type locality is Céreste, which is in a MP 22/MP 24 lacustrine - small carbonate in France.
Ecology: volant frugivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at Céreste
