Type specimen: CM 46712, a partial skeleton (partially complete skeleton). Its type locality is Hawks Butte Frog Quarry, which is in an Uintan lacustrine - large sandstone/siltstone in the Wagon Bed Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Hawks Butte Frog Quarry
