Type specimen: NMQR 2913, a skull. Its type locality is Botterkraal, Prince Albert, which is in a Guadalupian terrestrial horizon in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at Botterkraal, Prince Albert
