Sister taxon: Eotalpa anglica
Type specimen: IRSNB M 1930, a tooth (M1 sup. sin.). Its type locality is Boutersem TGV, which is in a Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Borgloon Formation of Belgium.
Ecology: fossorial insectivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of Belgium (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
