Type specimen: UNSM 61040, a set of vertebrae (intact dorsal vertebra). Its type locality is Flint Hill (Notre Dame locality), which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Batesland Formation of South Dakota.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Flint Hill (Notre Dame locality)
