Type specimen: MPUM 1479, a set of vertebrae (essentially intact dorsal vertebra). Its type locality is Middle Cabbage Patch Beds, which is in an Arikareean pond horizon in the Renova Formation of Montana.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Middle Cabbage Patch Beds
