Sister taxon: Ulmensia antecedens
Type specimen: BSP 1971 XXV 254, a mandible (sin. with p4-m3). Its type locality is Ehrenstein 4, which is in a MP 30 fissure fill horizon in Germany.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution: found only at Ehrenstein 4
