Type specimen: NMR 9991-00001993, a partial skull (a partial skull including the rostrum and the dorsal part of the cranium with the vertex). Its type locality is Southern Africa, offshore, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene marine phosphorite in South Africa.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

• Miocene to Holocene of French Southern Territories (1 collection)

• Miocene to Pliocene of South Africa (1)
