Sister taxon: Anourosorex squamipes
Type specimen: IVVP V 9735, a mandible (sin. with m1-m3). Its type locality is Lufeng, Section D, Layer 6, which is in a Turolian terrestrial lignite in China.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution:
• Miocene of China (5 collections)
Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
