Type specimen: UPRMP 2673, a carapace. Its type locality is El Rayo Locality 1, which is in a Maastrichtian platform/shelf-margin reef limestone in the El Rayo Formation of Puerto Rico.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at El Rayo Locality 1
