Type specimens:
- Clepsydrops collettii: FMNH 6530, a set of vertebrae (one single dorsal vertebra). Its type locality is Danville Locality (Vertebrates), which is in a Missourian terrestrial horizon in the Bond Formation of Illinois.
- Archaeobelus vellicatus: FMNH 6524, a partial skeleton (maxillary fragment, fragmentary vertebrae and limb elements). Its type locality is Danville Locality (Vertebrates), which is in a Missourian terrestrial horizon in the Bond Formation of Illinois.
- Clepsydrops pedunculatus: FMNH 6534, a set of vertebrae (one cervical and one caudal). Its type locality is Danville Locality (Vertebrates), which is in a Missourian terrestrial horizon in the Bond Formation of Illinois.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Danville Locality (Vertebrates)
