Type specimen: FMNH (WM) 454, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Wildcat Canyon, which is in a Sakmarian/Artinskian marine horizon in the Barneston Limestone Formation of Kansas.

Distribution: found only at Wildcat Canyon
