Sister taxa: Ombonia antalyensis, Ombonia guadalupensis, Ombonia invecta, Ombonia magna, Ombonia spicula, Ombonia tirolensis
Type specimen: NIGP 140902, a valve (Ventral valve). Its type locality is Dongluo section, Orthotetid sample 1, Fusui, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Dongluo section, Orthotetid sample 1, Fusui
