Sister taxa: Poikilosakos kamiyassensis, Poikilosakos petaloides
Type specimen: USNM 152619a, a shell. Its type locality is USNM705a, Hess Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Skinner Ranch Formation of Texas.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
