Type specimen: USNM 427417. Its type locality is Locality J17, Halk el Djemel, Djebel Tebaga, which is in a Wordian reef, buildup or bioherm shale/limestone in the Djebel Tebaga Biohermal Complex Formation of Tunisia.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Locality J17, Halk el Djemel, Djebel Tebaga
