Type specimens:
- Marcgodinotius indicus: IITR/SB/VLM 817, a mandible (dentary fragment with m2). Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine (HNB Garhwal University collection), which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.
- Anthrasimias gujaratensis: IITR/SB/VLM/1137, a tooth (left M1). Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine (IIT Roorkee collection), which is in a Ypresian marine siliciclastic in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of India (4 collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
