Sister taxon: Ekalakia lamberti

Type specimen: USNM 536328, a carapace. Its type locality is Highway 270, Redbird, which is in a Maastrichtian marine shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of Wyoming.

• Cretaceous of United States (3: Montana, Wyoming collections)
