Type specimen: CNU VB2005001, a skeleton (skeleton including feather impressions). Its type locality is Dawangzhangzi, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale in the Yixian Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Dawangzhangzi
