Sister taxa: Zygodactylus grivensis, Zygodactylus ignotus
Type specimen: SMF Av 519, a skeleton (complete skeleton including questionably associated skull). Its type locality is Revest-des-Brousses, which is in a MP 24 lagoonal carbonate in the Vachères limestones Formation of France.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Revest-des-Brousses
