Type specimen: CPC 3894, a valve (Left valve). Its type locality is BMR PB7, Carynginia Well, Irwin River Area, which is in a Sakmarian coastal siliciclastic in the Fossil Cliff Formation of Australia.
Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal suspension feeder
