Type specimen: GMV2129-a/b, a skeleton (nearly complete specimen, including most of the plumage). Its type locality is Jianshangou, which is in a Berriasian/Barremian lacustrine siltstone in the Chaomidianzi Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Jianshangou
