Type specimen: DGM 1476-R, a skull (almost complete skull). Its type locality is Santana do Cariri (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: volant piscivore

Distribution: found only at Santana do Cariri (general)
