Type specimen: FMNH PR1810, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton missing most of one forelimb). Its type locality is Tynsky Quarry, which is in a Wasatchian lacustrine - large limestone in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Tynsky Quarry
